Carbohydrates are what our body normally use to produce energy. If you restrict the carbohydrate intake of a normal person their metabolism changes. Changes? Yes your body looks to the next available energy source which is….fat. So now instead of burning carbohydrates for energy your body does the same thing with your existing fat deposits.
In a low carbohydrate diet you actually increase your intake of fat and pure protein as opposed to reducing it. In theory the more fat you eat the more fat you burn because your body is now using fat for energy. It’s common to see low carb dieters eating enormous steaks smothered in butter with fried eggs and mushrooms on the side. A very high fat meal but also a perfect low carbohydrate meal.
The fat burning process is called lipolysis. As the fat is being broken down for energy a secondary phase called ketosis occurs. Ketones are the fragments of fat being broken down in the process of lipolysis hence the name ketosis.
Ketosis has a single nasty side effect -bad breath. For whatever biological reason the conversion of fat to energy can lead to really, really bad breath.

The responsibility of hiring, training, and supervising
0 Comments | Posted by admin in Uncategorized
The responsibility of hiring, training, and supervising other members of the staff is given to an assistant manager who co-ordinates with the general manager. He also schedules working shifts and assigns duties to his subordinates. Writing reports, negotiating with the vendors, and coordinating various events also come under the supervision of assistant managers.
Facilities
Hotel and motel management professionals enjoy discount rates in travel and lodging amenities. This can be especially attractive for those who love traveling. Besides, though the initial stage may require a lot of struggle and hard work, once you have reached a higher position, you may earn a lot of money as perks excluding your regular salary. Additionally, the hotel industry is commonly associated with a lot of glamor, which also attracts many students to select hotel management as their career. The job itself involves some general facilities such as lodging, food, parking, laundry, and other services.

Pick of the week: Billi Tees have already been around eight years and aren’t showing any signs of slowing down. Their new collection has got us very excited – not only are they still doing great printed tees but they’ve thrown in a range of merino and sweatshirts as well. Get them from their Bulls HQ or online at billitees.co.nz.
What’s hot: Baxters of California is a suave men’s grooming brand. Founded in the 1960s, Baxters creates premium products for leading Hollywood stars and discerning gentlemen. Store of the dapper gentleman Crane Brothers has just begun stocking a small selection of the range; including skincare, shaving and hair care. Prices start at $55.
What’s not: Lindsay Lohan in court. Come on, Li-Lo, get yourself together. Even your numerous outfit changes during the court case weren’t enough to glamorise this drastic event.
Best foot forward: Wedges are the best mix of comfort and style. Tony Bianco’s wedge booties are super sweet lace-ups with a strong European influence. Wear them now with thick woollen tights and cosy coats; and take them through to summer with bare legs and sassy shorts

A TEENAGER died and a van driver was seriously injured in a horror smash on a rural road.
Euan Cowie, 19, of Aberdeen, was fatally injured when his Vauxhall Corsa collided with a van on the B977 Dunecht to Leylodge Road in Aberdeenshire.
The teenager was taken to hospital in an ambulance with a police escort following the smash on Thursday morning. Despite undergoing emergency surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, he died later that evening.
The 35-year-old van driver has not been named. His injuries were described as ‘serious’.
Investigators are believed to be considering the possibility that an oil or diesel spill could have contributed to the accident. Grampian Police have appealed for witnesses.
Friends and family have paid tribute to the tragic teenager on a social networking site.

Sure, they may provide some useful services; for example, the
set()
function could validate the data, ensuring that it is within the proper range of values. Nevertheless, they tend to violate the spirit of information hiding, at least to some degree.
Using
get()
and
set()
functions is not always a bad idea; in fact, sometimes they make perfect sense. Their frequent use, however, is a pretty good indication of a poorly abstracted software designone that does not adhere well to the principle of information hiding. When designing software classes, we need to think primarily in terms of the services they provide (i.e. their public functions), rather than the data they contain. Ideally, their data implementations should proceed from the required services, rather than other way around.
To illustrate this concept, let us revisit the
BankAccount
class mentioned earlier. It is clear that the
BankAccount
object will need to keep track of its balance, so lets make that a data member. A novice programmer (or one with a poor grasp of object orientation) may choose to provide both
GetBalance()
and
SetBalance()
functions for this class but does this make sense?
What happens when a user attempts to make a deposit? The user would have to call
GetBalance()
, add the deposit amount, and then set the new value using
GetBalance

There are many places that do not actually observer daylight savings. Many people do not like have to adjust their clocks twice a year for so few perceived benefits. Other people do not like the disruptions in sleep patterns from setting the clock forward or back ? this actually correlates with auto accidents and lost productivity. Also, some people simply forget to change their clocks and they may show up late or early to work, etc.
Also, daylight savings time may add to an increase in summertime air conditioning costs. More sunlight at home means that people are also experiences more heat at home. Air conditioning often uses even more electricity than lighting does.
There is also the chance that because of the added daylight, more people are going to jump in their cars to enjoy it, and therefore add to pollution.
Also, people working in agriculture do not appreciate daylight savings time ? their animals most certainly do not observe it!
There are many more reasons why people do not like daylight savings time. Many of the reasons that people criticize daylight savings time are the same reasons that people praise it ? there is debate over whether or not daylight savings time actually decreases the energy that people use or the number of traffic accidents.

Our kids are a mess and it can be prevented. The first 5 years are critical.
I cannot believe the new parents of today. Everyday you see parents with their kids running around in stores and restaurants like wild animals. Talking back and debating with their parents about everything under the sun. Then when the kids get older, they wonder why they cannot control or communicated with them.
The first 5 years are critical, if you determine your expectations at the beginning, the future with your kids will be easier.
Never debate, never waiver, always loves and you are not their friend, you are their model. Once you show any sign that the rules can be bent or your punishments can be avoided, you have lost the battle.
If you can hold your ground, be the enforcer and send the signal to your kids in the first 5 years that it?s your way or the highway, it will be planted in their minds throughout their young adult lives. This will make it much easier to have them be good students, respectful to others, avoid danger and be a contributor to the world, not and burden.
That?s what I think

Architects launch property development company
0 Comments | Manila Bulletin, April 21, 2010
Architect Jorge Y. Ramos recently launched Wishwood Development Corporation, a company that handles the development of some real estate industry players and provides allied consultation services which includes the architectural firm Jorge Y. Ramos and Associates. The company will also provide services in urban planning, architecture, design and property development. His son, Nick Ramos is the company’s Architectural Designer.
Since the start of the company’s operations, much development in the real estate industry has happened but “the aspiration to live well remains,” according to Architect Ramos. The changing nature of the industry dictates the need to respond to the market by merging real estate mastery with customer’s lifestyle ideals.
Combining the tenets of urban living, structural soundness, investment mastery and environmental awareness, the new company has taken community planning into a holistic perspective.
The company’s ongoing property development project like the single detached units of apartments near the UP Los Banos, Laguna, is a good example of what they envision
